Born 1982, China
Lu Song studied for a BA in Painting at the University of Wolverhampton in the UK and for an MA in Painting at the Wimbledon College of Art, London.
In his work Lu Song emphasises largely insignificant themes such as residential areas in an urban context. Distant and undefined landscapes are merged together with photo-realistic exposure, nature is confronted with man. Daily encounters are twisted and stale environments brightened by conversion. With his convincing and skilful flow, Lu Song’s first solo exhibition captivates the observer.
