Kentaro Kobuke

Born 1975,  Japan

Kobuke graduated from the Chelsea College of Arts and Design MA Fine Art course in 2009 and now the lives and works in London.

Kobuke’s work recollects fragments from different times and past memories – visions of eyes, scenery and human-like creatures expressed on slabs of cherry wood. Imagery draws on both tradition and contemporary culture, becoming the impetus for the viewer’s own narrative within the sequence of works.
